Circles by Mac Miller

The companion to his last release before his passing, Swimming, this final release was a complimentary style opposite of Swimming, meant to complete the sound. Putting the two together results in Swimming In Circles, which is the overall theme of the musical ideas and lyrical sums of both albums. The struggles with drugs, relapse, life, death, love, loneliness, success, and failure all come up, and are themes explored with the simple rhymes Miller was known for, that carry a complex weight when heard in context. The sounds are ethereal, and the beats are familiar, with a soul that keeps you listening. Circles will be a classic, and when put together with Swimming you will find a home that can be solace from the feelings of isolation that we all feel when confronting these subjects in our everyday life.
