THC-Infused Mango Lassi

Lassi is basically just a yogurt smoothie from Punjab, India with a fancy name. With less modern day add-ins and novel variations, the lassi focuses on the dairy rather than the other stuff added in. Because of this, it is important to start with a quality yogurt so the dairy can take center stage. The best yogurt for a lassi is a full fat, unsweetened, plain yogurt. Greek yogurt can be used as well, but make sure it is just strained yogurt and doesn’t have thickeners added, FAGE is a good Greek yogurt brand. If using Greek yogurt, more water/milk will need to be added.
Yogurt drinks originate all over the milk-drinking world, from India to Bulgaria, from Kazakhstan to Greece. The word "yogurt" itself, as well as the process of yogurt making, is strongly associated with Turkish culture, with the word stemming from the Turkish verb "yoğurmak". Interestingly, the Turkish people originally come from tribes in Central Asia, specifically from the region of modern-day Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan and later migrated all the way to what is now Turkey.
For any recipe that includes fresh fruit, you should always add less sugar than the recipe says and then adjust as necessary at the end. I prefer my Lassi to be on the less sweet side, but this lassi is yours, so sweeten it how you like. Other versions are made without mango, sometimes with other fruit instead, or plain with the addition of a couple drops of rose water or even a salty version.
For 1 serving:
Ingredients
1 Mango
Unsweetened Full Fat Yogurt
1 tbsp of Sugar (to taste)
Pinch of Cardamom
Pinch of Salt
Water or Milk
THC Tincture
Instructions
Peel and cut the mango into manageable pieces.
Blend the mango with the yogurt, cardamom, salt, THC tincture and half the sugar.
Add the water little by little, continue to blend to get a smooth consistency.
Continue adding water or milk until you reach your desired consistency. I prefer mine on the thinner side.
Once the consistency is to your liking, add more sugar as necessary.
Drink or store in the fridge for later.
