The Benny Goodman Fizz has all the good stuff in there. It’s got cannabis infused gin. It’s got some rosewater, it’s got some absinthe, and it has grapefruit bitters. You finish it with a splash of seltzer, hence the fizz. But you won’t mind after a couple because this is a most beguiling cocktail that offers a cross-fade.
1 ounce cannabis infused London Dry Gin – Always Beefeaters according to the late Gaz Regan
2 oz. simple syrup with a scant drop of rosewater added. Use less than that, even less.
1 ounce seltzer water
3-4 drops grapefruit bitters. I used Fee Brothers
.25 oz. Jade Liqueurs Esprit Edouard Absinthe -medicated to taste and desired strength!
Grapefruit zest twist
Fresh ice that doesn’t taste like that garlic pasta in the fridge… you know which one.
Fill a Boston Shaker three-quarters full with ice.
Add the gin (I know, we are shaking the gin) and the rose water scented simple syrup.
Cap and shake hard for twelve seconds.
Pour into a coupe glass.
Add the seltzer and the bitters, float the absinthe on top.
Garnish with the grapefruit twist and enjoy!
