Puff, Pass and Paint

In a cozy studio located in North Hollywood where you can create art, there is no pressure to make perfect masterpieces. At Puff, Pass and Paint it is all about being in a comfortable space where you can let your creativity run free while smoking your weed.

My sister and I signed up for a class on a Friday night and to my surprise, finding a place to park was not hard. We parked right outside the studio where we saw a sign that read Puff, Pass, and Paint, opened the door and made our way up the stairs. You can’t get lost, just follow that familiar smell of the marijuana smoke and you will end up right where you need to be. As soon as you walk in, there is a couch and a table where you can find snacks, candy, and wine. The next room is where all the creativity happens. There is a long table with canvases set up on easels, paint already poured on trays and paint brushes in cups of water, all ready for you to use.

Our session was led by instructor Austa, who was great at providing step by step instructions on how to create the theme of the night, Los Angeles Skyline. If you have never had experience with painting before, don’t be intimidated. The instructor gives you directions on which brushes and paints to use for each step. Joints were lit almost as soon as we started painting, the creativity was flowing and everyone was enjoying themselves. There’s no rush, you have two hours to complete your new wall art and if you get stuck, your instructor is happy and ready to help. The best part is that everyone has a different style, so each painting is uniquely beautiful.

The studio also holds classes for Abstract Fluid Painting, Crafts, Mixed Media Collage and adult themed painting/drawing with a live nude model. Classes are available in ten different states.
