Homemade Mayonnaise is extremely easy to make, and serves as a base for so many dips and sauces that any cook should know how to make it. Use light flavored olive oil, Extra Virgin oil will give a bitter flavor to the Mayo. This recipe requires an immersion blender to combine the fat and water into a single emulsion. If you want it to infuse it, simply replace the olive oil for Canna oil in the necessary ratio for your dosage.
• 1 egg (use high quality) • Juice of ½ Lemon • Pinch of salt • 1 cup Olive Oil
Add the ingredients to your blender cup in the order they are listed. Egg first, Oil last
Place your immersion blender all the way to the bottom of the cup, and on low speed, begin to blend
As you see the mayo start to come together, slowly raise the blender, careful not to pull it out of the mayo. If you move too fast, you will not emulsify the ingredients, and you will not get mayonnaise. You’ll know if you did it right. All done!
