Pinched citrus peel and European petrol give way to dollops of lemon curd and freshly chopped Hatch Chiles in the nose. There is a tangle of cedar chips that come into view, a touch of forest floor and late fall leaves under foot. Toasty sourdough bread soldiers, dripping in brown butter are glistening in my view, dipped in a perfect four-minute egg and shared amongst friends in a never-ending cloud of deeply introspective haze. Nose: citrus oil, crushed minerals, Peruvian coffee grounds, crumbled rice paper and tannins. Mouthfeel: black liquorice, icy, spring snow melt, warm lemon curd and billows of pleasure throughout the entire mouth down to the throat. Toasted hazelnuts and clabber cream! Effect: I’m incredibly satiated after just a couple tiny hits. It’s remarkable cannabis. It’s not something that I’d introduce just anyone to, but anyone can experience the quality that growing with love creates. Each plant teaches me to be better, in whatever task I take. The veritable fork in the road approaches. All these thoughts are exemplary and nurtured through the enjoyment of Empanadas Diez… a most impressive smoke, and quite possibly the best I’ve had this year. This is exceptionally congenial cannabis. It’s hand-tended, plant by plant, fed only the finest adjuncts... each puff is deeply introspective.
