BIDEN ADMINISTRATION FORGIVES CANNABIS USE
The Biden administration has issued new guidelines concerning the hiring of positions in the White House, stating that prior cannabis use was not a reason for disqualification as it did not impair the ability of the worker to do their job. This may seem largely symbolic, as most prospective employees would not discuss their cannabis use if it were perceived to be a problem, but it opens the door for honest conversation about cannabis use by making cannabis use a normal acceptable behavior. The treatment would be very similar to how alcohol is treated. A glass of wine for dinner, or an occasional night out is acceptable where showing up to work under the influence is not.
